After volunteering with Legal Aid in 2002, Mr. Goodin has represented individuals, businesses and other entities in hundreds of bankruptcy proceedings, as both debtors and creditors.

In addition to representing individual consumers in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, some examples of our representative experience include the following:


  • Representation of a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee in various preference and turnover actions.
  • Obtained numerous judgments declaring debts non-dischargeable in Adversary Proceedings filed on behalf of an Oklahoma public trust entity.
  • Successfully obtained a judgment of non-dischargeable debt on behalf of an Oklahoma pension fund in an Adversary Proceeding.
  • Successfully defended Chapter 7 debtors in an Adversary Proceeding filed by a credit card company and recovered judgment for all of the client’s attorney’s fees and costs.
  • Successfully defended numerous preference and turnover actions.
  • Obtained a judgment declaring a debt non-dischargeable, arising from a brutal physical assault and battery and related property damage and punitive damages.
  • Representation of a major farm equipment financing creditor in the context of chapter 12 family farm bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Served as Special Administrator for over 128 workers compensation claimants estimated at over $1.2M in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan for a self-insured employer.
  • Assisted in the representation of an oil and gas producer in a Chapter 11 reorganization, with simultaneously proceedings in Canada for its parent company with over $73M of secured debt, $40M in liens, trusts, unsecured and intercompany claims, and approximately 300 producing wells across over 60,000 acres.
  • Assisted in the representation of a nationwide trucking company with over $30 Million of debt, through which a confirmed chapter 11 plan of reorganization was entered.
  • Representation of unsecured creditors participating as committee members of Unsecured Creditors Committees.
  • Representation of mortgage holders in Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
